Instructions for printing business card size invitations found on the Ambassadors Tools web page

 

Use business card stock that produces 10 - 2” X 3.5” cards. Avery # 8371, # 5371, or Geographics card stock works well for this purpose. You can also use plain paper to print out your invitations.

 

It is a good idea to use ordinary paper to test your first copies to insure that you are going to get the desired results.

Instructions:

  1. Select side of card you want to print.
  2. When the side of card you want to print comes up on your screen Click File then -
    1. Print
    2. If this test page comes out as a good copy (proper alignment and printer stops after one copy) you can disregard the rest of this document. If you detect a problem follow steps 2a, 2c, and 3a.

 

    1. Page Setup

                                                               i.      Be sure there is no header or footer indicated in drop down menu – if there is remove contents in those lines.

                                                             ii.      Change top margin to .7” (point 7 inch.)

                                                            iii.      Click OK

  1. Click File for second time
    1. Select Print

                                                               i.      In Print Range select – Pages 1 to 1

                                                             ii.      Printing will begin

 

Before printing the opposite side of your invitation make sure that you have taken the original pages you have printed and reloaded them back into your printer with the correct orientation. Then repeat steps 1- 4.

 

Note: To keep from getting confused with what direction you paper needs to be in your printer, make a small mark on the corner of a page before you do a test printing Make sure to note the relation of this mark to how the page in resting in the feed tray of your printer. It really is much easier than it sounds. After you do it a few times you will feel like a pro.
